After over 25 years working in the bolting industry, Corinne BILLARD DISCHERT Senior vice president Sales & Marketing and ROGER DISCHERT Senior vice president Engineering & Technical services, chairman, founded RAPID-TORC S.A in Brussels, Belgium as they both noticed that only few manufacturers were providing bolting services over product sales while the market demand was moving away from more product sales to on site services.

In 2003 Rapid-Torc S.A initially introduced a fully proprietary-high quality hydraulic torque wrench product line. The line was rapidly recognized by the bolting market for its excellent price-to-performance ratio and high quality.

Since its inception in 2001 RT S.A, in charge of the European operations, enjoyed a fast and profitable growth. The Corporation will reach $6.2M in revenues in 2010.

In 2003, Rapid-Torc, Inc was established in Houston, Texas, USA with the same business strategy as Rapid-Torc S.A. The company is profitable since 2007 and will reach $7.1M in sales in 2010.

Simultaneously to the set up of Rapid-Torc Inc, Mr Daniel G. Schultz-former chairman at G.E Information Services International, (a $600M corporation) with over 43 years in Intl management joined Rapid-Torc as business partner to help structure the operations and to advise in business strategy and financial systems.

In 2008, Rapid-Torc® introduced an additional and unique product line called “SPEED ORANGE®” to address the Induction bolting market need worldwide. The equipment is far ahead of any competition and highly reliable and secure.

In May 2010 Rapid- Torc recruited Aaron Knopp a former senior sales and service manager at Bolttech, and son of Bolttech founder and owner, specializing in the value-adding delivery of on- site bolting services with the objective to further expand the bolting services across the USA.

Rapid- Torc sells products associated to BOLTING SERVICES that are delivered either by RAPID- TORC’s staff or value- adding resellers and distributors worldwide

The combine revenue in 2010 is estimated to be at least 13M$.

From 2001 to date, RT has participated in numerous professional exhibitions both in Europe and in the USA. It is the fifth consecutive year that RT enjoys a successful participation in the OTC in Houston.

Rapid-Torc, Inc. is making every possible effort to strengthen its market position in the US and to become a major player in the bolting service industry.

In order to come closer to its customer base and improve response time to operate, RT will relocate its main US office to Pasadena this summer. Mr. Aaron Knopp will drive this effort from Pasadena and will subsequently set up other service offices across the US as the business develops.

Thinking

RT business strategy is clear; the corporation makes no compromise on quality products and technical knowledge. Rapid-Torc is willing to share to get access to the market place and consequently is always looking for alternate channels of distribution. RT currently consists of up to 30 distributors and 20 sales agents worldwide.

Regarding customer’s satisfaction, RT applied five years ago to the ISO 9001 and VCA* 2004 certification in Europe. The company is certified.

In US, Rapid-Torc Inc will be ISO 9001-2008 within few weeks from now after few months of preparation.

All communications processes, job positions, job descriptions are subject to external audit. The same principles and methods are transferred to the Houston/Pasadena office
